Last week singer / songwriter Alex Amor released her latest single ‘Dare You’. Part one of her double single project titled Summer Is Sweet With You. This is the first release since the Scottish newcomer released her debut EP Love Language which focuses on the theme of relationships, loss and heartbreak. 

In ‘Dare You’ Amor uses her strengths as a vocalist and lyricist to write a catchy melodic hook in a rap style of phrasing. 

Amor combines genres effortlessly as ‘Dare You’ is the perfect blend of edgy pop music, indie and r&b.

When talking about her new single Amor stated that “‘dare you’ is about taking risks while the sun is still high in the sky. I wanted the track to feel like summer heat: a warm and steady haze that lifts you up on brighter days. It’s about opening yourself up to all potentials and possibilities. Making a bet on someone, with the hopes that it’ll pay off in the long run. Because life is too short to always play it safe.”
